Project Overview
The primary objectives were to redesign an existing clinician portal to enhance the user experience, integrate new functionalities such as real-time communication and streamlined treatment plans, and ensure its responsiveness across various devices. The goal was for the portal to serve as a central hub for clinicians to effectively manage patient data and insights derived from the PortableConnect app.
Team: Collaborated with developers, POs, PM, and QAs
Tools: Adobe XD, Invision, Illustrator
User Flows
The RomTech Clinician Portal facilitates the initiation of treatment plans and provides ongoing support for patients throughout their recovery. Core user flows included:

Key Takeaways
Challenges
This project marked my first independent redesign and enhancement of a clinician portal with a significant feature set. Working with existing designs, a list of new features based on user and stakeholder feedback, and an updated brand identity required a strategic approach to refine the user experience while seamlessly integrating new functionalities.
Lessons Learned
The project reinforced the critical role of user feedback in both identifying new feature requirements and uncovering areas for experience improvement. Notably, since the updated portal's launch four years ago, its adoption has expanded dramatically, growing from utilization in just three states to over 40 states. This significant growth underscores the impact of user-centered UX design in real-world application and adoption.
